(intensely) Oh Lord Shiva, please bless me with your presence. I am ready to do anything to please you and have you as my husband.
Suddenly, Parvati's meditation is disturbed by a loud sound, and she opens her eyes to see a tiny baby crying, lying beside her.
PARVATI: (surprised and confused) What is this? A baby?
Goddess Parvati looks around to see if someone left the baby near her, but there's no one around.
PARVATI: (to the baby) Who are you, little one?
The baby continues to cry, and Parvati picks him up.
PARVATI: (tenderly) Don't cry, my little one. I will take care of you.
As soon as Parvati says these words, the baby transforms into a radiant light and merges with her, causing her to faint.

SHIVA: (astonished) What? A baby? This is strange.
Parvati then tells Shiva everything that happened, and he understands the significance of this event.
SHIVA: (smiling) Parvati, you have given birth to our son, the mighty Kartikeya. This is a blessing from Lord Vishnu and the universe.
